Quarterback Brandon Arduino rushed for a Cougar touchdown as the first half came to a close to lift his team's spirits at halftime.
The Cougars offense couldn't capitalize off turnovers or convert on crucial fourth down attempts in the second half.

Both teams dropped passes and punts because of the slippery conditions, but in the end the Lathrup Chargers running game was too quick and relentless for the Cougars defense.
Stoney Creek coach Calvin Gross declined comment after the game, but told his players he was "tired of losing."

The Cougars (1-5) have lost five games in a row and play at Farmington (4-1) Friday at 7 p.m. The Cougars will end their season with games against crosstown rivals Rochester and Rochester Adams.
