Lions Quarterbacks Stafford, Stanton Seen at Adams-Harrison Football Game

Pros watch from the sidelines at Highlander Stadium on Thursday.

It was no ordinary Thursday Night Lights in Rochester Hills.

As the Highlanders battled on the field, Detroit Lions stars Matthew Stafford and Drew Stanton, a Harrison alum, were there to see it.

The NFL quarterbacks remained rather incognito; Stafford was dressed in a hoodie and wore a Tigers hat. They stood on the sidelines. But the Highlanders student section got word of the pro football players' presence at the game and delivered a "Matthew Stafford" chant in the fourth quarter.

Field security, helped by deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, had to clear a path for Stafford to leave.

Stanton could be seen signing  autographs for Rochester Redskins players at midfield after the game, which Adams lost 48-21.
