1. Meadow Brook Hall plans to build a new visitor center that will include modern amenities and new spaces to expand its vibrant collection of tours, events, educational programs and community experiences. (Rochester-Rochester Hills Patch)
2. A Rochester Hills bakery will be giving away free cake on Thursday, Sept. 1. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Nothing Bundt Cakes will give the first 250 customers a free Confetti Bundtlet, which is the brand's individually packaged miniature bundt cakes.
