  1. Oxford students launch initiative to advocate for sensible gun reform. The "No Future Without Today" group seeks Safe Storage/Child Access Prevention (CAP), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Red Flag Laws, Universal Background Checks
  2. Thousands will gather in Washington D.C. and cities across the country on Saturday, June 11 to demonstrate the need to reform the nation's gun laws. In addition to the "March for Our Lives" protest in D.C., there are several marches planned in the metro Detroit area, including in Oxford. (Rochester Hills Patch)
  3. Police said Matthew Lewinski, 37, of Clinton Township, killed his girlfriend at their home in December 2020, and hid her body in the home for seven months. The body was discovered by his family in July 2021, according to authorities. (WDIV ClickOnDetroit)
