Rochester HIlls Wins $2 Million Grant for 'Proactive' Water Analysis
Department of Environmental Quality grant will allow the city to analyze infrastructures before problems develop.

Rochester Hills has received a $2 million state grant that will allow the city’s public works department to take a proactive look at improving wastewater and stormwater systems rather than wait for them to develop problems.
“It’s a proactive approach rather than reactive,” Department of Public Services director Allan Schneck told The Oakland Press
The grant from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s Stormwater, Asset Management and Wastewater program requires a 20 percent match– $450,000 – by the city.
