Rochester Lacrosse Teams Have Good Opening Weekend
United boys, Stoney Creek girls win season openers, but Adams falls.
All-in-all it was a good weekend for Rochester Community Schools lacrosse teams.
The Rochester United boys defeated Okemos, 5-4, on Saturday. The Falcons (1-0) are ranked No. 19 overall in Michigan and No. 9 in Division 1, according to laxpower.com.
Okemos, a Division 2 team, is ranked 30th overall.

On Friday, the girls lacrosse team pulled off a 13-12 win over Notre Dame. Stoney Creek (1-0) is ranked No. 6 in Division 1 and 10th overall, while Notre Dame is No. 7 in Division 2 and 15th overall.
Also on Friday came the one defeat for Rochester Community Schools as lost to Notre Dame, 8-4. The Fighting Irish (2-0) are ranked 24th overall and 15th in Division 2. Adams (1-0) is ranked 21st in Division 2 and 19th overall.
