Rochester's Brook Handler Sets Record at County Championship Track Meet

Oakland County high school athletes competed in the 52nd Annual Oakland County Track and Field Championship Meet Friday at Milford High School.

On Friday, area high school athletes competed in the 52nd Annual Oakland County Track and Field Championship Meet at Milford High School.  

Avondale High School took home a County Championship in the boys' 800-meter relay with a time of 1:29.16; team members are Nathan Chapman, Takemi Smith, Jeff Douglas and Trevon Salter.

The most notable performance of the night was that of 's , who won the Girl's 800-meter run with an Oakland County Championship Meet record time of 2:11.5, breaking the old record set back in 1986.
