Stoney Creek JV Wins Spartan Showdown Softball Tournament

The Stoney Creek JV Softball team was looking to better their second-place win in last year’s Spartan Showdown when they came to play in this year's tournament on Saturday. The Cougars came this year to win it all — and win they did.

Despite the freezing temperatures the girls played hard and worked together to win all four games. Freshman Meghan Glaser pitched three games for the Cougars assisted by sophomore catcher Stephanie Elanges, and sophomore Alex Liska pitched one game assisted by sophomore catcher Grace Nasr. It was a great effort by the whole team to bring home the championship trophy.
