Watch It: CMNtv Program Schedule for the Week of Nov. 21

This week CMNtv highlights include: 

Community Corner – Hosts Ryan Gray, Aaron Castle and David DeWitt Taylor celebrate the production of their 50th episode!  For more than 4 years, these three hosts, each with a disability, have invited mentors, coaches, employers and other inspirational individuals to share stories of overcoming disabilities.  On this 50th episode, guests include CMNtv Executive Director Jay Wiencko, Community Corner volunteer director Patty Brown, and CMNtv Outreach & Trainer Joe Johnson.  The hosts also take a look at clips from past shows.  Wednesday@6pm, Thursday@4pm & Friday@9pm.

Access Ability
– Yet another CMNtv Video Production Workshop has come to an end and with that CMNtv brings you another exciting episode of Access Ability.  During this “Quiz Bowl” game show, graduates of the Fall 2011 Workshop are grilled about what they’ve learned over the past ten weeks.  It’s a fun way to end the workshop and welcome a new batch of volunteer producers.  Tuesday@Noon, Wednesday@11:30pm, Friday@9:30pm.

Oakland County Spotlight – One of the objectives of CMNtv’s Video Production Workshop is to challenge each class to produce a “Final Project.”  The Wednesday evening class produced Oakland County Spotlight featuring three diverse segments.   Host Mark Stowers welcomes Interior Decorator Darlene Rothman for some design tips; Jessica Williams talks to two couples as they share secrets for a happy marriage; and singer/songwriter Tiren Jhames and his band perform the song For the Both of Us.  Thursday@11:30pm, Friday@4:30pm, & Sunday@Noon.

Since its inception in 1983, CMNtv has supported Public Access TV and residents, organizations, schools and agencies of the consortium with free or low-cost access to television production, training and cablecast on a non-discriminatory basis. They currently serve 11 cities in southeastern Oakland County, including Royal Oak, with a subscriber base of nearly 140,000 households.

Community Media Network resources allow the public to produce public access television shows that reflect the diverse community in Oakland County and Michigan.
