I moved to Royal Oak in 2011 from Clinton TWP in 2011. Not soon later did I learn of a near by town called Royal Oak Township, ever since I have been embarrassed to share the Royal Oak namesake with this TWP. I have family and friends now constanly asking or telling me about the emergency manger in Royal Oak (TWP) and asking me how I can live in such a place with all the violence and crime. My question is why does our City have to share a name with township in such disarray?
