The Royal Oak Public Library continues its Independent Film Series on Saturday, July 12 at 2:00 pm with the showing of The Iran Job.
When American basketball player Kevin Sheppard accepts a job to play in Iran, he expects the worst. But he finds a country brimming with generosity, acceptance, and sensuality. Kevin's season in Iran culminates into the uprising and suppression of Iran's reformist Green Movement – a powerful prelude to the sweeping changes unfolding across the Middle East. 90 minutes in English and Persian with English subtitles.
The film is appropriate for the over-18 crowd. Admission is free. For more information, contact the Adult Reference Desk at 248-246-3727 or visit ropl.org.
