Metro Detroit has been named one of 32 cities nationwide to participate in Listen To Your Mother (LTYM), a national series of storytelling performances featuring local writers in celebration of motherhood.
The local LTYM performance will take place at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit on May 4; it will feature live readings by real moms from all over metro Detroit. The readings will focus on the beauty, the beast and the barely-rested of motherhood -- taking the audience on a well-crafted journey that gives voice to motherhood in all of it’s complexity, diversity and humor.
Think of it as giving motherhood a microphone.
