Victim of Strong Armed Robbery May Lose Sight in One Eye
Oakland County authorities have released a photo taken from surveillance video showing the suspect punching a man and knocking him to the ground, then stealing his beer.
Oakland County authorities are still looking for the suspect in a May 11 assault and strong-arm robbery that may cost a Pontiac man sight in his right eye.
The victim, 51, walking home from work about 2 a.m. after stopping at a store to buy groceries and a 12-pack of beer when the suspect punched him in the face, causing him to collapse to the ground, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Surveillance video from a business shows the suspect taking the victim’s beer, then walking back toward the entrance of the Four Brothers Bar and Grill on Saginaw Street.

The suspect is described as a heavyset black man with facial hair. He was wearing a light-colored baseball cap with a darker brim, a sweatshirt and sweat pants, and white tennis shoes.
The victim continues to undergo medical treatment.

"This violent act is completely unacceptable and this violent criminal needs to be brought to justice,” Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
A cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest of the suspect, and tipsters may remain anonymous. Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at (248) 858-4911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
