Flickinger parents help students excel at math

The Flickinger PTO has given students the opportunity to take in the web-based math program, IXL.

Flickinger students are getting the chance to excel even more in mathematics, thanks their parents.

The Flickinger PTO has given second grade students the opportunity to use the math website IXL. In total, students have completed 77,000 questions and accumulated over 550 hours of independent math practice.

Teachers are able to track student data, view accuracy and skills, and use IXl to individualize instruction.

Students are able to apply what they are learning in class through technology and are earning instant feedback. Parents also receive weekly emails to update them on their child's usage and progress.

Next year, thanks to the generosity of their parent group, all Flickinger students will have a membership to IXL. Skill levels in the program range from kindergarten to college.
