Henry Ford II will rock out with Majesty - the Best of British Rock

Symphony Band pairs with rock band Addlestone Gate to sponsor March 8 musical tribute

Henry Ford II High School will be rocking as the high school symphony orchestra pairs with the Detroit area-based rock band Addlestone Gate on March 8 to present Majesty – the Best of British Rock.

This evening will not be a typical high school band/orchestra concert, as the symphony band will not be playing classics but rather classic rock, scored for a symphonic orchestra and accompanied by an outstanding professional rock trio.

The 15-song show features music from The Beatles, The Kinks, The Moody Blues, Led Zeppelin and others, including original songs by Addlestone Gate.

Addlestone Gate has toured extensively throughout Michigan, opened for the Barenaked Ladies at DTE Energy Music Theater, and performed with the Mid-Michigan Festival Symphony Orchestra. Two of the band members - Mike & Nathan Wirth - are graduates of Henry Ford II High School.
