UAIS students immerse themselves in France
Eleven UAIS students recently spent ten days in France focused on liguistic and cultural immersion.

Utica Academy for International Studies students immersed themselves in their French studies earlier in April.
Eleven UAIS students recently spent 10 days staying with French families in Lyon, France.
"They really had to step out of their comfort zone in order to adapt to all things French-- everything from longer, later meals, to shorter showers, to speaking French from morning to night, to eating things they had never heard of, to sharing their own culture and customs with people very interested in where they came from," said UAIS French teacher Mary Blain.

Students attended a French school for three of the days and toured Lyon and Paris. Despite these diversions, Blain said the focus of the program was focused on liguistic and cultural immersion.
Last year, french students visited the Utica Academy for International Studies as part of the exchange program.
