
The Easter Bunny is Coming to Shelby Township!
Don’t let your kids miss the chance to munch lunch with their lovable, floppy-eared friend! The Shelby Township Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department is hosting its annual Easter Bunny Lunch at the Shelby Community Center on Saturday, March 31. Reservations are now being accepted for this event, which is sponsored by Dr. Ban R Barbat features a yummy pizza lunch, entertainment by Magician, Tom Plunkard, and of course a visit from the Easter Bunny. Bring your camera and your appetite! Reservations are required and seating is limited, so don’t delay. Reservations are available from the Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department. Doors will open at 11:00 am sharp and lunch will be served at 11:15. The fee per person is just $7 for residents of Shelby and Utica and $12 for non-residents. The Shelby Community Center is located at 51670 Van Dyke, one light north of 23 Mile Road.

After you’d had lunch why not stop by River Bends Park for the Easter Egg Scramble? Your kids will have an “egg”citing afternoon scrambling for goodie filled plastic eggs - some with a special surprise inside! The Easter Bunny will be hopping over to this FREE outdoor event which is sponsored by Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union and the Shelby-Macomb Kiwanis Daybreakers. There will also be coffee and hot chocolate courtesy of Caribou Coffee and the Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department. The scramble begins at 1:00 pm for ages 3 to 5 and 2:00 pm for ages 6 to 10. River Bends Park is located at 5700 Twenty Two Mile Road, between Shelby and Ryan Roads.
