The woman told officials her roommate, Bunting, assaulted her Tuesday evening and handcuffed her, demanding she remain in his bed all night, according to the sheriff's office.
Bunting continued the assault Wednesday and threatened the woman with a handgun, according to the sheriff's office.
A neighbor helped the woman escape the apartment at roughly 4 p.m. and call for help, according to the sheriff's office.
When officers arrived at the apartment, Bunting refused to come out, and instead, blocked the door from inside, according to the sheriff's office.
Officers then spotted Bunting running from the apartment roughly an hour later at 5 p.m., according to the sheriff's office.
Officers chased down Bunting and tased him, before eventually arresting him, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials said officers also found an unregistered handgun on Bunting.
