
Registration is now open for Adult Education and English As A Second Language programs, offered by the UCS Community Education department.
Both programs are tuition free and offered at convenient hours Monday through Thursday at the Walsh Community Education Center, 38901 Dodge Park Rd. at 17 Mile Road.
Adult Education registration is now open for area residents over 20 years of age who want to earn their high school diploma.
The Utica Community Schools’ Adult education holds evening classes Monday through Thursday. The program allows individuals to improve their math and reading skills and earn credits towards their high school diploma or GED.
Registration runs August 19 through August 22 and those interested in registering must provide a valid Michigan ID or Drivers’ License. There is a $30 in district and $50 out of district registration fee for the program.
Registration is also ongoing for the Utica Community Schools English as a Second Language program. The tuition-free classes are scheduled mornings and evenings on Monday through Thursday and focus on reading, writing, math and speaking.
ESL Registration runs from Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and again from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Those interested in attending must provide a valid Michigan ID, Drivers’ License, or passport of U.S. Visa entry at registration. There is a $30 in district/$50 out of district registration fee.
