Utica Varsity Dance Takes Home Top Honors

The Chieftains dance team advances to the national championship in Orlando as regional champions!

The Utica High School Varsity Dance Team won first place for their jazz dance and Second place in Pom dance at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) regional competition at Royal Oak High School this past weekend. The Utica Dance Team also captured a special judges award for choreography and Triple Threat honors. The team earned a bid to compete in the UDA National Dance Championship for the first time since 2012 and will compete against teams from across the country February 3 - 5 at the ESPN Sports Arena in Orlando.
