Southfield Engineer Launches Campaign to Support Future STEM Students

My name is Dasia Jackson, and I’m a Southfield resident, Lawrence Technological University electrical engineering graduate, and founder of From Scholar to Success LLC.

Scholarships, mentorship, and community support helped me complete my degree and begin my engineering career. Now, I’m working to help other students pursue their dreams.

My campaign, “From Scholar to Success: Fund the Future of STEM,” is raising funds to develop:

• Future scholarship awards for educational expenses.
• STEM workshops and mentorship opportunities.
• Educational resources and student success kits.
• Program development and operating support.

These initiatives will serve aspiring STEM students, including young women and men, with a special focus on encouraging women in engineering. Their timing and reach will depend on the funding raised, and I’ll share updates as the work progresses.
