Police said the boy sent threats to a student he had fought on Monday. Officers found a 9 millimeter handgun and a BB replica firearm at the boy's home, according to police.
After police finish their investigation, they will turn over their findings to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office who will determine if charges will be filed.
"I commend the swift action and job done by our officers and detectives," Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer said. "I also want to remind parents, especially following the Jennifer Crumbley verdict, that parents have to be aware and responsible for their children’s actions to ensure that the classroom is a safe environment for everyone’s children."
