Of course it sounds cliche "As Within So Without", YET, it does happen to be a very real, Real, REAL way of Being. The only thing we have control over, is ourself. And, many of us continue, habitually, to believe that we can make someone else, often we think we can make everyone else, behave how we would like them to behace because that's how we think it ought to be. I'ts the ''right way'', it's the ''nice way'', it ''has to be this way"... What's the kicker here, is that each and every single person we know: spouse, child (of all ages), parent, aunt/uncle, longtime friends, new acquaintances, coworkers, bosses, staff, volunteer organizers, church & school folks >>> everybody has their own PERSPECTIVE on how the situation should be handled, how the project should be managed, how the money should be spent or earned, how others are to behave at the family celebration, and always always always what others SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do, be, have... it's a vicious circle and it only ends when as an individual, one decides that this is too stressful. When one decides that a boundary must be set, that too much drama and heartbreak and hurt feelings have been occuring----only then will stress management commence in our life. Take time, ME-TIME, to BE STILL. Breathe. Breath deeply. Breathe deeply for at least 5-10-15 minutes. Take a minute or two, regularly throughout the day, Be Still and breathe, clear your mind while allowing those chaotic thoughts & to do lists to float right on by....bye-bye. Breath deeper still. Go inside to feel, for a minute or two, to feel peace, to feel harmony and balance, to feel quiet and calm....Connect to your inner calm. THEN see how your Inner Rhythm shall resist or flow, in flight or fight....throughout your day. Every moment we make time to BE STILL, to renew and refresh through a practice or activity that we love so much and become lost in our creativity >>> Our immune system gets a BOOST as we are inducing the relaxation response. Yes. It's fact. Listen to music you love. Surround yourself in 'scents' you love - lavendar, peppermint, tangerine... Try out yoga or tai chi > Summertime at the park Journal every day for 10 minutes of your "Hopes & Dreams AS IF they are actually happening! You owe it to yourself to make yourself a priority to Manage Your stress & Connect to Calm! Imagine all you dare to dream, really can come true! Breathe. Be Still and Know. Rev.
