Trump To Visit Macomb County April 28
Trump will be skipping out on the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner to campaign to Michigan.

WASHINGTON, MI — President Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Macomb County next week, his campaign has announced, and it’s the same time reporters annually host a dinner in the nation’s capital. The campaign rally is set for 7 p.m. April 28, at Total Sports Park, 65665 Powell Road, in Washington Township.
The event is the same night as the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner, which Trump earlier said he would not attend, the Detroit Free Press reported.
"While the fake news media will be celebrating themselves with the denizens of Washington society in the swamp that evening, President Trump will be in a completely different Washington, celebrating our national economic revival with patriotic Americans," Michael Glassner, chief operating officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., said in a news release.
This is Trump’s second visit as president. He attended an event in Ypsilanti Township in March 2017, where he talked about revisiting fuel standards for vehicles and renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement.
