• Three Rivers man found safe, police say (wwmt.com) — Three Rivers residents can breathe easier knowing 43-year-old Tyrone Wendell Valentine, previously reported missing, has been found and his wellbeing verified by local police. He was last seen on South Health Parkway in town, and authorities had been especially concerned because he lacked needed medication. Contact information for TRPD and county dispatch was shared during the search.

• Patrick McKenzie, 38 – WLKM Radio 95.9 FM (wlkm.com) — Friends and family around Three Rivers are mourning Patrick Michael McKenzie II, a 38-year-old DJ and Three Rivers High School graduate remembered for his kindness, creativity, and activism. Survivors include a sister living in Three Rivers, and arrangements are being handled by Ray Funeral Services on Rock River Avenue. A celebration of life is planned at Papa Pete's on October 4.

• MSU scientists developing tools that help farmers improve irrigation, energy efficiency (msu.edu) — Farmers near Three Rivers may benefit from new Michigan State University tools that fine-tune irrigation and cut energy costs, including a free Mobile Irrigation Lab that tests center-pivot systems.
