Three Merrill Financial Advisors Earn Top Women Advisor Honors

Merrill financial advisors Melissa Spickler, Marie Vanerian, and Nicole Christians have been identified among America’s top financial advisors. The three women have been named on both the Forbes and Barron’s Top Women Wealth Advisor lists.

Spickler, a Bloomfield Hills resident, joined Merrill in 1980 and today helps motivate, advise and guide women in transition, executives, closely held businesses, retirees and entrepreneurs as they pursue their financial goals and aspirations.

Spickler has the designation of chartered retirement planning counselor and is also a qualified portfolio manager. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal law.

Vanerian, a Grosse Pointe resident, based at Merrill in Troy, began her career at Merrill in 1977. She has the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).

Vanerian provides access to the investment insights of Merrill and the banking convenience of Bank of America to help address the various aspects of clients’ financial lives. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Christians, a Bloomfield Hills resident, joined Merrill in 2002 after graduating from the University of Michigan. Christians is a certified financial planner and works with high net worth clients. She is a founding member of Merrill Lynch’s Advisor Growth Network (AGN), where she currently sits on the Client Experience & Social Media Expansion committees. AGN consists of a select group of 25 Merrill Lynch financial advisors from across the country that serve as key consultants to the firm’s senior management.
