Apple Island : Take a pontoon boat ride to Apple Island for a docent-led island group tour.

Orchard Lake Museum, 3951 Orchard Lake Road
$15 adults, $10 children (ages 5-12)
$5 Time Travelers and GWBHS members (includes new memberships)

Take a pontoon boat ride to Apple Island for a docent-led island group tour. Then at your own pace, visit Native Americans with storytelling and traditional arts. Dr. LouAnn Wurst will be available to share Western Michigan University 2013 and 2014 archaeological dig findings.

Tours begin at the Orchard Lake Museum with first come, first served, in person sign-up beginning at 11 a.m. No phone reservations.  Last tour group leaves the museum at 3:30 p.m. Allow 2.5 - 3 hours round trip. There are fifteen steps to climb to access the island. Wear walking shoes and dress appropriately for the cooler temperatures at the lake.

Enjoy the free museum with presenters, hand-on activities and archaeological dig experiences, outdoor games, and crafts.
