AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IN WIXOM
If you're looking for good mexican- La Casita is your place.
There is a huge difference between Tex-Mex (think On the Border) and authentic Mexican food. Though both are delicious – having studied abroad in Mexico, I am a HUGE fan of the authentic type.
Before moving to the Commerce area my husband and I lived in Wixom. About three years ago we stumbled across La Casita and have been eating our way through their delicious menu ever since. Though we have tried MANY items our personal fav is the carne asada tacos topped with onions, cilantro and their homemade salsa.
The menu is full of dishes I haven’t seen since moving back from Mexico! Authentic chilaquiles, pambazos and my personal favorite – Mexican bottled Diet Coke!

The prices are AMAZING!!!! Tacos are about $1.50 and quesadillas are $1.75 – every time we dine here our bill is under $20.
La Casita reminds me of a classic neighborhood taqueria. The entire restaurant seats about 25, the servers are welcoming and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are in someones cozy kitchen south of the boarder.
