Growing Heroin Problem Topic of Upcoming Presentation

Heroin use and addiction is a growing problem in West Bloomfield. A panel of experts will discuss what it means at an Oct. 2 session.

A guest panel of medical, law enforcement and mental health experts will address the growing problem of heroin in West Bloomfield at a free program next month.

The session will be held form 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, 6777 West Maple Road.

  • Lisa Kaplan, LMSW, CAADC, ACSW, Program Coordinator for Maplegrove Education

In addition, a young adult recovering from heroin addiction and his father will also join the panel.

The discussion is sponsored by the Greater West Bloomfield Community Coalition, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and the Maplegrove Center.
