ORCHARD LAKE, MI – Suddenly, it’s OK to talk about the durability of toilet paper in polite society over a glass of champagne — especially at weddings. In this instance, it's even encouraged.

It’s not what you’re probably thinking — unless you were thinking that "squeezably soft" Charmin toilet paper can be rolled into a nice wedding dress design.

Susan Brennan, of Orchard lake, is one of 10 contestants competing for a $10,000 prize in the 12th annual Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest sponsored by Charmin, according to a news release.

Brennan’s dress is made from Charmin Ultra Soft and Ultra Strong toilet paper, super glue, tape and a needle and thread.

She and the other nine competitors are set to showcase their dresses at a finale fashion show event at the Haven Rooftop at the Sanctuary Hotel in New York City on June 16. For the first time ever, the finale event will also be live streamed on Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com to allow fans near and far to be a part of the contest fun.

Celebrity wedding planner Michael Russo will be on-hand to help judge the contestants and crown the queen of toilet paper wedding dresses. Along with helping to judge the contest, Ripley’s Believe It or Not will also display all 10 finalists’ dresses at different Ripley’s locations throughout the world.
