Located in the heart of Downtown Milford, Palate has become well known among craft beer lovers and farm-to-table enthusiasts. Their menu is comprised of a multitude of beers, fresh cocktails and a wide array of scratch-made dishes.
Palate is owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team who have true passion for their restaurant. In talking to Bristol and Joe it’s obvious they have put their heart into all aspects of Palate – from choosing local artisans when designing the space to using neighborhood farmers for produce – there is love in every detail of their eatery.
I have have dined at Palate on numerous occasions…a casual lunch with girlfriends, date night and most recently, my mom’s birthday dinner. As we entered the restaurant live music was playing and we were seated at a comfortable granite top table with a beautiful view of Main Street. For 2.5 hours we enjoyed cocktails, small plates and entrees without ever feeling rushed to leave – it was the perfect place to celebrate. We feasted on many tasty dishes that night but the family favorite was the bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese – DELISH.

The price point at Palate is moderate – my average meal is about $18 and that includes a cocktail and main entree. Everything I have tried on the menu has been tasty and unique; recently I had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries. It was fresh, flavorful and I finished every bite.
The vibe here is cozy, welcoming and ascetically pleasing. There are two large dining rooms, a stunning bar with TONS of beer on tap and a great outdoor patio. When we visit Palate we never want to leave because of the beautiful decor and friendly atmosphere. As I’m sure you can tell, we highly recommend spending the evening this fabulous eatery.
