You are invited to hear docent DuAnne Sonneville talk about spinning. Besides a brief history, she will demonstrate how to turn sheep’s wool into yarn using a drop spindle, a Saxony wheel, and GWBHS’s recent addition, the Bryce Wheel. You will also learn many other things associated with this craft, including the original meaning of the many words, phrases, and adages that started as part of the lexicon of spinning.
