Stafford's Pier Restaurant: Excellence in Northern Michigan

Great hospitality in various locations; Stafford's Pier Restaurant

It goes without saying that Stafford’s Hospitality has been doing everything right for the past 50 years with their various locations across Northern Michigan. From perfect lodging, including The Perry Hotel in Petoskey, The Bay View Inn in Bay View and The Crooked River Lodge & Suites in Alanson to exquisite dining with The Pier Restaurant in Harbor Springs, The Weathervane Restaurant in Charlevoix and The Drawbridge Bistro in Downtown Charlevoix, all of Stafford’s Hospitality properties were created with their customers in mind.

This time I had the opportunity to enjoy The Pointer Room and The Wheelhouse Lounge inside The Pier Restaurant in Harbor Springs and to say I was impressed is an understatement.

Everyone’s meal was cooked to perfection with the most quality of products. For example, the Lobster Ravioli ($26.95) was actually full of fresh, lobster instead of fillers. We also tried the Pier Perch and Plank & Perch, both tasty and also $26.95 as well as the Tenderloin Whitefish Duo ($29.95) and Canadian Walleye ($27.95)… everything as mouthwatering as the last. We also recommend the Seafood Chowder, it was creamy and packed full of clams, scallops and shrimp ($4.95).

The excellence of this spot extends well beyond the breathtaking views and outstanding food. When you walk through the big wood doors, you can head to the right into The Wheelhouse Lounge for a more casual environment or to the left to The Pointer Room for amazing waterfront dining on Little Traverse Bay. The beauty of it is you can get either menu regardless of where you choose to sit. The Wheelhouse Lounge offers a laid back menu with small plates, salads, burgers and sandwiches while The Pointer Room offers fine dining selections… my experience is that both spots will leave you happy!
