Disparities in Women's Health Care

Women of all faiths are invited to a luncheon and program entitled "Disparities in Women's Health Care", presented by the Women of Ascension Lutheran Church.  Featured speaker is Ms. Carie Francis, who works in population and disparity research at Wayne State University and Karmanos Cancer institute.

Research has shown that women are often underserved in the nation's health care system.  Ms. Francis will share her work in reasearching this topic and also discuss how women can be their own best advocates when seeking health services.

The women's group at Ascension Lutheran Church is one of the few such groups in the area carrying on the tradition of female fellowship and encouragement.
