Lakeland Freshmen Lose to South Lyon 29-16

The Lakeland Eagles outscore the Lions 16-7 in second half.

The Freshmen were edged out by South Lyon 29-16 in there home opener Wednesday afternoon. 

After falling behind 22-0 at the half, the Eagles played an inspired second half scoring two touchdowns and a safety. 

William Jacobs sacked South Lyon’s quarterback in the end zone for the two point safety late in the third quarter.

Quarterback Luke Ells scored on a quarterback sneak on fourth and goal at the 8:13 mark of the fourth quarter. 

Andrew Bovay capped off the scoring with a touchdown run with 1:54 to go in the game.
