An Easy Task: Spend $100 in Wyandotte, Part Two
Meline Scheidel spent her "Patch The Town" winnings at two Wyandotte businesses.
A few months ago, Wyandotte Patch hosted five contests to award $100 to five lucky readers. The winners were given a $100 prepaid gift card with one rule: The money must be spent in Wyandotte. We asked our winners to take some photos and send a short writeup on how they spent their money. This is the second in that series.
was the third winner in Here's how she spent her $100.
Thank you so very much for the opportunity to win and enjoy a super pampering day. It was absolutely awesome.

I decided to use some of the winnings to purchase an overdue haircut and the rest of the money for a massage. I have heard massages are great stress relievers and have many health benefits. Who doesn't need that? I keep hearing you must take care of yourself to be the best caregiver of others. Something I haven't been the best at the past couple of years.
The massage experience was such an extreme treat and would not have happened without the contest winnings. Thank you so much for making this opportunity possible for me.

The first picture above was taken within after an extraordinary hourlong massage by Sara Sasin.
I was truly surprised I could stand after our session. I felt like a perfect buttery limp noodle (with cute toes). I had no idea what Sara would do for a whole hour, but let me tell you, I was so sad for that hour to end. My arms, legs, back, neck, head, face, fingers and toes felt her magic and every stress was forced to exit my body. Sara is amazing and I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to treat themselves to this wonderful experience available at Total Health Foods, through Alice Huang's Chinese Natural Therapies. And as if the day hadn't started out wonderful enough, Deanna Vallie, their reflexology expert, offered me a pedicure, since she was there early and her client had canceled. It was a totally blissful day.
If you decide to do the massage, here are a couple suggestions: Don't wear jewelry, don't bother with makeup that day and if you are taking a picture, do it before the massage.
The last three pictures above show me before and after a haircut, which was done at . Sarah Daw is the stylist who cut and styled my out-of-shape hair. She is as sweet as she is talented. This was the first time I had my haircut at this Wyandotte business and was so pleased, I will return.
Thank you, Wyandotte Patch.
