Rather than using the money on personal travel, Clarke opted to use it to rent a bus that he will turn into a mobile office for a day to meet constituents, Lewis said.

“When I ran for Congress, I promised that I would not have a government leased personal vehicle," Clarke said in a press release. "Now, as a member of Congress, I am fulfilling my commitment not to use taxpayers’ money to lease a personal vehicle, and instead use the money to benefit metro Detroiters.”
