DIA Wants to See Photo of You with Inside|Out Artwork

Have you been inspired by one of the art pieces installed around downtown Wyandotte?

How about reenacting a scene from your favorite piece for a chance to win a one-year membership to the Detroit Institute of Arts?

That's what organizers are looking for in their Inside|Out Photo Contest.

To enter, snap a photo of yourself, your friends, your family members or anyone else with one of the Inside|Out reproductions on display in Wyandotte and email it to insideout@dia.org. Include your name and the title of the photo in your email.

Photos will be judged on their creativity in connecting with the subject matter of the artwork. Entrants are encouraged to reenact a scene from the Inside|Out work they include in their photo.

The deadline is June 22.

Wyandotte is one of 16 Michigan communities selected to host , which runs through June.

As part of the project, the DIA has brought seven high-quality reproductions of art pieces from its collection to the streets of Wyandotte. Some of the pieces hang on the sides of buildings, while others are freestanding throughout the downtown area. The pieces are clustered within walking or biking distance from each other to encourage people to get out and view them all.
