Downriver Comics to Host 'A Very Funny Valentine'
Comedians Mark Knope and Sal Demilio plan to bring some humor to people on Valentine's Day.
Two Downriver comedians are coming together to give people something to laugh about on Valentine’s Day.
Comics Mark Knope and Sal Demilio are hosting A Very Funny Valentine at . The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
“Sal and I got together a few weeks ago and decided we wanted to do a show on Valentine’s Day for the purists who celebrate the day on the actual day and not the weekend before,” Knope said. “We wanted it to be true to Valentine’s Day, so to speak.”

Even though it’s set for a weeknight, Knope said, he’s already received word from many of his fans that they plan to come out.
“We’re doing it early enough for people to go out to dinner and then see our show at 8:30 p.m. and be on their way home by 10 o’clock,” he said. “We’re going to make people laugh and let them forget about their troubles in the middle of the week.”

As a divorced man, Knope said, he’s prepared to throw in some couples humor to spotlight the special day.
Demilio owns The Comedy Room and performs for several corporate clients. He is a national headliner and has worked alongside several well-known comics, including Dave Coulier, Dave Attel and Kathleen Madigan.
Knope is a Wyandotte native who has performed on Comedy Central and several TV shows. He's opened for numerous heavyweights, as he calls them, including George Lopez, Kevin James and Tommy Chong.
