Mayor Joseph Peterson agreed.
"The city is very excited to be working with you and your expansion," Peterson told Mikhail.
The original schematics for the project showed that the restaurant's capacity would increase by 58. David Adamczyk of D & A Home Improvement said that number has now risen to 66.
Adamczyk said he's anxious to get the project under way as he's seen customers come into the restaurant and leave because there wasn't a table immediately available.
"We don't want to lose that business in Wyandotte," he said.
