Fees Increase for Some City Records, Licenses
The Wyandotte City Clerk's office instituted a new fee schedule on Oct. 1. Other increases to come.

It now costs a little more to get some documents from the Wyandotte City Clerk's Office.
A new fee schedule took affect Oct. 1.
Birth and death records are now $20 for the first certified copy and $10 for additional copies that are purchased at the same time. The costs rose $5 from the original $15/$5 fee structure

Dog licenses now cost $10, as do garage sale licenses. Both went up $5.
Dog licenses also will no longer be pro-rated as to when they are purchased throughout the year.

Residents are allowed to have two garage sales each year, in addition to the citywide sale.
The fee for the owners of rental homes to register their properties with the city rose $10, from $25 to $35.
Other departments, including engineering and , are still studying their costs and are expected to have some increases in the future, City Administrator Todd Drysdale said.
For instance, the cost to rent the is expected to go up. The all-day rental fee now is $50 for residents and $60 for nonresidents. The new fees will be $80 and $100, respectively.
The cost to rent the for a wedding currently is $350 for residents and $400 for nonresidents. The prices are going to be $450 and $500, respectively.
The new fees were put into place to help the city recoup some of their costs of providing the services, Drysdale said.
