Gage is Bears' Go-To Guy
Roosevelt High School senior Nolan Gage anchors his bowling team under pressure.

Nolan Gage is the cool, go-to guy at .
The senior bowler is a four-year starter for the Bears varsity team and currently carries a 205 average, the highest among his teammates. His high game is 289 and he has a high three-game series of 756.
The bowling team took fourth place at regionals on Friday. Gage also qualified in the singles division for the state tournament.

“Nolan is very cool under pressure,” said Mark Diroff, varsity bowling coach. “Whenever we are in a tough situation and need something done, we know we can count on Nolan. His varsity tennis coach agrees with me on this, too.”
In addition to excelling on the lanes, Gage also is a member of the varsity tennis and golf teams. He's a star in the classroom, too, carrying a 4.0 GPA.

“Nolan leads by example,” Diroff said. “He’s not a vocal leader, but the younger bowlers follow his lead. And he is one of the smartest kids I know.”
