WATCH: Wyandotte Officials Surprise Couple with a Free Lunch During Downtown Restaurant Week
Frank and Barbara Bianchi of Trenton are the first to have their food bill paid for in weeklong contest.
A Saturday afternoon surprise inside brought a smile to the faces of a Trenton couple who weren't having the best of weekends.
Frank Bianchi had just been released from a two-day stay at and was driving home with his wife, Barbara, when the two decided to stop for lunch.
As they were wrapping up their meal, they discovered that they had been randomly selected as the first winner of the weeklong , being put on by the Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority.

DDA Director Natalie Rankine and Mayor Joseph Peterson surprised the couple with balloons and word that their bill was being paid for by the DDA.
"It was a very nice surprise when the mayor came in and picked up our tab for lunch," Barbara Bianchi said. "It turned out to be a very nice day for us."

Two other giveaways will occur during Downtown Restaurant Week, which runs till March 30.
