WATCH: Wyandotte Officials Surprise Women with a Free Lunch During Downtown Restaurant Week

Carrie Biers of Trenton and Nicole Cyzich of Riverview have their bill paid for in weeklong contest.

A quick lunch at paid off Monday for friends Carrie Biers of Trenton and Nicole Cyzich of Riverview.

As they were starting their meal, the two discovered that they had been randomly selected as the second winner of the weeklong , being put on by the Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority.

DDA Director Natalie Rankine and City Councilman Daniel Galeski surprised the women with the good news that their bill was being paid for by the DDA.

"We are very appreciative," Cyzich said. "It was a very nice surprise."

One more giveaway will occur during Downtown Restaurant Week, which runs till March 30.
