WATCH: Young Wyandotte Hockey Players Honored for Winning League Championship

The Wyandotte Warriors Mite B hockey team led the Pledge of Allegiance at City Council meeting.

The boys of the Wyandotte Warriors Mite B hockey team were honored at Monday night's City Council meeting for being named the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League Champions. 

The boys won the title after beating the Dearborn Scorpions 7-1 at the final game played March 13 at Joe Louis Arena.

The team, led by head coach Lee Shifflett, went 28-4-2 for the season and was undefeated in league play.

Keegan Harrington was the team's MVP, scoring four goals and one assist in the final game.

The team is made up of James Aldridge, Luke Beaubien, Mario DiSanto, Trent Doss, Tyler Doss, Kameron Gorecki, Keegan Harrington, Raymond Isham, Brian Leighton, Zachary Luh, John Mastrogiacamo and Samuel Shifflett.
