Wyandotte Bed and Breakfast Makes Top 10 List

If you're looking for a kid-friendly place to stay, you don't have to look far.

Wyandotte's was named to the Huffington Post's Top 10 Kid-Friendly Inns to Visit list.

"Family vacations and weekend getaways are perfect opportunities to reconnect and recharge," the Huffington Post story reads. "Make it fun for everyone by choosing a kid-friendly inn where adults and children can have a great time together, as well as apart. These bed and breakfasts, country inns and lakeside resorts feature age-specific activities and supervised babysitting that welcome stress-free participation from parents, children and grandchildren."

Bishop-Brighton was praised for the ability to "listen to an outdoor concert ... with the kids never out of sight, climbing the playscape."

Gerry Lucas, who owns the B&B with his wife, Vicki, said he was surprised to receive the high honor.

"It's stupendous and totally unexpected," he said. "I did not expect it to be on the Huffington Post travel section. ... The exposure is out of the universe."

And the topic of the top 10 list is even more appealing, he said, as many bed and breakfasts don't welcome children as guests.

"We love kids," he said. "If I had a house full of kids all the time, it'd be great."
