Wyandotte Pee Wee Team Wins League Championship
The Wyandotte Warriors Pee Wee B #2 are Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League Champions.
The Wyandotte Warriors Pee Wee B #2 team capped off an impressive season by winning the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League Championship on March 17.
Captain Steven Green helped vault the Warriors to victory earlier in the day by beating the Novi Panthers 3-2 in a semifinals match and then coming in to set the pace for the final game against the Trenton Lightning.
While the Trenton team had previously stopped the Warriors from nabbing first place overall in the division, the Wyandotte boys were victorious in their final matchup of the season, 8-6.

Coach Aaron Friske said the team played well throughout the entire season.
"Over the course of the playoffs, the boys were hampered with a 2 ½ week wait between rounds one and two and then a last minute location change," he said. "The Warriors pushed through rounds two and three in games less than six hours apart, tired and worn out, but showing a lot of spirit and heart. The Warriors fought hard and came back from a two-goal deficit twice before adding two more goals to put an exclamation mark on the final game of the season, bringing parents to their feet."

The team is made up of Jacob Cole, Isaac Dzagulones, Steven Green, Nicholas Light, Drew Ordiway, Joseph Patterson, Symon Stroia, Christian Tardiff, John Tocco, Jack Trombley, Andy Vandierendonck and William Wilson.
Coaches are Pat Tocco, Mark Trombly and Friske.
The boys, who play in the Patrick Division, went 8-2-2 for the season.
"The coaches have maintained it was the Warrior team who wanted this championship, and the Warriors who worked hard for it, and they simply helped to guide the way," Friske said. "The coaches and parents are very proud of the boys and look forward to celebrating one more time with them on May 5 at Comerica Park for a 'Day of Champions' during the Tiger game."
