Wyandotte Scavenger Hunt Set for Saturday
The free event will be held throughout the downtown area from 1 to 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded.

Want to run silly around downtown Wyandotte looking for clues for a chance to win prizes?
You're in luck then.
In conjunction with the Detroit Institute of Arts' Inside|Out project, the Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority and the Downriver Council for the Arts are sponsoring a Downtown Wyandotte Art Scavenger Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Participants of all ages are welcome to compete in the family-friendly event. Teams may be comprised of between 3 to 6 members of any age. Families with children are welcome and encouraged to participate.
The event is free, but teams must pre-register by Thursday. As of Tuesday, nine teams are already on tap to join the fun. The participation form can be downloaded under the PDF tab to the right.

In order to participate, teams must bring:
- Small notepad
- Three pens (any color)
- Six #2 sharpened pencils
- Digital camera and/or cell phone with photo and/or video taking capabilities
- Roll of scotch tape
- $8.48 in loose change
- Small plastic bag
- A first-class postage stamp
Team check-in begins at noon at the . All teams must be pre-registered and checked in by 12:45 p.m.
Extensive walking through downtown Wyandotte is required on the hunt, which will be held rain or shine.
Teams will accumulate points for each task they complete. Winners will be ranked in order of point totals. Several prizes, including gift certificates to downtown Wyandotte businesses, passes to the DIA and DIA swag, are up for grabs.
