Wyandotte Softball Drops District Title Game to Southgate Anderson
The day started with a 4-3 comeback win over host Woodhaven, but the softball team's district championship hopes were ended with a 4-2 loss to Southgate Anderson.

In the first game, Woodhaven took a 3-2 lead over Wyandotte in the third inning. That score then held through the next two innings.
Wyandotte came up in the seventh, however, with a comeback in mind. After two doubles and three singles in the inning, the Bears accomplished that goal and walked off with a 4-3 win.

In the next game, Wyandotte and Southgate both remained scoreless for the first five innings.
The Titans broke the tie with one run in the sixth, but the Bears answered with one and tied it again in the bottom of the inning.

Neither team scored in the seventh and the game went to extra innings.
In the top of the eighth, Southgate bats came to life and the team quickly grabbed a three-run lead. Wyandotte could only respond with one run in the bottom of the eighth and were handed a 4-2 defeat as the Titans took the district title.
