Volunteer re-enactors posed as famous people buried at Wyandotte's Mount Carmel Cemetery.

The fifth annual Historic Cemetery Walk was held Friday and Saturday, featuring volunteers posing as some of the famous people buried in the cemetery.
Dressed in era clothing, the volunteer actors took on the life of the person they were portraying, telling personal stories about their lives.

Jack-o-lanterns, brush fires and lamp posts provided the light for the nighttime stroll through the darkened cemetery.
After the walkthrough, participants returned to the museum campus to learn about spirit photography while enjoying apple cider, doughnuts and cookies. Presentations also were given on a traditional late 19th century funeral, the embalming process and Victorian mourning customs of the era.

The cemetery walk is one of the museum's most popular events. This year, tickets sold out in four days, even after additional tour times were added.
